Jesse Hughs will deliver a presentation on ceramics and pottery at the BAC General Meeting, Thursday April 13, starting at 6:30pm at the Blaine Senior Center.
Jesse graduated from Ferndale High School in 2015. It was his during his time at Ferndale that he, “first developed my passion for pottery”. “Fine Arts credits (classes) were required to graduate, so I enrolled in a ceramics class, having no idea what it would become. The hobby I started doing for fun evolved into a part-time business and now a full-time adventure.”
He has recently open a new shop space in the commercial district of Ferndale. “I enjoy creating functional pottery for others to use, such as cups, bowls, pie plates and soup mugs, to name a few. I have been told the colors I like to use – blues, greens and tans – reflect my “old soul,” but I like to frequently experiment with new color combinations as well.”
Jesse’s other interests include; playing ultimate frisbee, perusing local garage sales, being in the outdoors and collecting all sorts of things – rocks, knives, Hot Wheel cars and more.
We welcome Jesse to the BAC community and encourage members to attend the April General Meeting to hear from Jesse as well as learn about the other important upcoming BAC activities.
