I was a second-generation Locomotive Engineer and worked for Railway Express in Canada for 10 years and then Burlington Northern in Bellingham for 35 years. I have painted several steam trains, one of which I consider to be my best work. In 1999 I retired and started traveling and painting full-time. I visited France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and China, living in Sorèze, France for an extended period of time. While there I took lessons from established artists, painted in an art group, and sold my work in art galleries. I also painted in Italy and Spain. In 2000, I participated in an art group at Bernie’s Barn in Surry, Canada. I had a studio in Blaine for many years where I taught and worked alongside several other artists. Now that I am no longer able to paint, my deepest desire is that others would be able to enjoy the extensive body of work that I created.
