Jennifer Korn Womansongs Kiln-Fired Glass My mother's plan was that my sister was to be an Artist and I was going into Medicine But wunderlust became my beacon instead of college. After 4 years of exploring the U.S.A. I ended up in the Pacific Northwest to make my home. In 2004 an opportunity came along to do "piece work" for a stained-glass artist. This involved making hundreds of 2" circles, squares and triangles . . . and I fell in love with glass. The colors were vibrant, muted, silky, or layered with swirls, then fired at 1470 degrees and the spirit of the glass changed into a different realm of shape and color. I'm having so much fun delving into the endless possibilities of glass that I feel like a kid in a candy shop when I go into my studio. I continue my journey into the magic of kiln-fired glass and the endless creativity that it offers to me.
